We grew up in towns that bordered each other and lived in the same dorm building in college but didn't meet until we both lived on the small island of St. John in the US Virgin Islands! Anthony moved to St. John in January of 2016 after graduating from college. Amy moved in November of 2017 right after hurricanes Irma and Maria hit the territory. We had a mutual friend who Amy went to high school with and also happened to be Anthony's best friend (hi Scooter). He introduced us, and the rest is history!

In February of 2020 Amy and Anthony had both of their parents, siblings and numerous aunts and uncles visiting them in St. John. On the night of February 6th we all embarked on a private sunset sail on board Kekoa, the catamaran that Amy works on. Mid sunset we posed for a group photo, where Anthony got down on one knee and popped the question in front of our closest family and many friends.
