In 2014, Jonathan was hanging out at his friend's house after the gym when Kimberly arrived to pick up her goddaughter. She enters her cousin's house to find Jonathan hanging out with her cousin, Jean, in the living room. In hopes that something would spark between them, Jean awkwardly introduces them as the "single" friend, Jonathan, and the "single" cousin, Kimberly. Between the awkward introduction and Kimberly's nervous giggle, the two hit it off. Shortly after, they mutually decided to go their separate ways. After Jonathan suffered the loss of his dad, Kimberly and Jonathan reconnected. While the world was shut down in 2020, Netflix became the new "hangout" spot. Tiger King was just the start of several nights spent talking on the phone. After the last season of The Get Down, they both knew that this time was different. Kimberly always dreamt of a cheesy over the top proposal. Jonathan did just that. Picture it, a 6-foot powerlifter professing his love for her at a karaoke lounge, on a Tuesday night, in front of their friends and family while singing "I Want to Be Your Man" by Zapp & Roger. He got down on one knee and the rest is history! We're so excited for you to join us as we say "I do" at our destination wedding in February of 2024. See you soon!
