Flying to Morocco

Most UK airports fly directly into Agadir Al-Massira International Airport. It is a 30 minute drive to Agadir City. Taxi is the most efficient way, these are a set price and can be pre-booked ahead or hailed at the airport.

Public Transport Bus

The central parts of Agadir are very walkable, but if you get tired, there are plenty of local buses to take you to nearby beaches or city suburbs. Remember to have coins to pay for the ticket since the driver doesn't carry a lot of change. The main local bus station is located next to the main grand taxi stand at the south end of Rue de Fes, approximately 20 minutes by car from the city centre. It is very usual to arrive at Inezgane though, which is the bus hub of the region. They don't have air conditioning and tend to run on their own schedule.

Public Transport Taxi

By far the easiest and quickest way to get around town is by Taxi. You can find them either at the taxi rank at the south end of Rue de Fes or Rue Yacoub el-Mansour in New Talborjt, or by hailing one off the street. The orange Petit taxis are only allowed to drive within the city and take a maximum of 3 passengers. The cream Grand taxis only take a minimum of 6 passengers, you can pay extra and hire the whole taxi or they will pick up/drop off locals on the way to your destination. Fares are charged on the meter, and often the driver will say it is not working or forget. Either ensure the metre is turned on or agree to a fare before travelling. It is cash only and small change is best.
