Thomas Mathew Nash Memorial Scholarship
Amia's dad, Tom was an extremely kind, funny, joyful, and loving father. He loved being an involved parent and could always be found cheering at high school track meets, basketball, and football games! Tom was a Navy veteran and active community member. He served as a director of the Edmonds Arts Festival and volunteered as a Big Brother and Girls Scout troop leader. In his free time, Tom enjoyed live music and dancing, walking Edmonds Beach with his wife and dog, and hosting a full house of family and friends. On Sundays, he never missed a Seattle Seahawks game as a season ticket holder for 23 years! When Tom was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in 2021, he lived every day with positivity and determination. He battled for 6 months with grace, bravery, and strength for his wife and daughters. The Nash family established a memorial scholarship for Edmonds School District (WA) graduates from underrepresented backgrounds and who have made major contributions to their community.
