Question

Do I need a COVID test to get into Turks & Caicos

Answer

Yes, you will need to obtain a negative COVID test within 5 days of your arrival to the islands. You will also need to apply for authorization and provide the COVID test for approval. Also please print 2 copies of your COVID test for when you enter immigration. (This is really easy)

Question

How do I apply for TCI travel authorization?

Answer

https://travelauthorisation.turksandcaicostourism.com/public/ Use the TCI assured platform no less than 24 hours before arrival. You will need a digital copy of your negative COVID test.

Question

Is it easy to get to TCI?

Answer

Yes, Nate and I traveled there in December and the process was smooth sailing. The local islanders in Turks and Caicos are very nice, tourism is their main form of income so they are very happy to have tourism ramping up again. Masks are required but it’s pretty lax. They do ask you to wear them in enclosed spaces but at the beach and outside it’s not required.

Question

Do I need to wear a mask?

Answer

This is a loaded question. Traveling to TCI you will need a mask. You are required to wear a mask on the island inside and in enclosed spaces. Once you are at the property you will not be required to wear a mask. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, we totally understand and you are more than welcome to do so!

Question

Do I need Travelers insurance?

Answer

YES! Travel insurance is mandatory for arrival to the Turks and Caicos Islands. Your current insurance might cover you but you need to verify that they cover covid-19 related illnesses. If you do not have travel insurance, you may purchase one from the suggested TCI Assured insurance companies below: Travelex, Seven Corners, TripMate, Aura, HTH World Wide, Allianz Global Assistance, Generali Global Insurance (***this is who we use***), Global Rescue, HDI Global, Travel Guard, Travel Insured International, Trawick, Arch RoamRight,

Question

IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING TRAVEL INSURANCE

Answer

In accordance with international travel requirements all persons returning to the US, Canada, and UK must have a COVID test result completed for pre-arrival. Please note that all travelers must be aware that, in the case of a positive test, the cost of a quarantine period of up to 14-days and other medical costs, as necessary; is the responsibility of the traveler. Therefore, please be mindful of the quarantine and other coverage provided by your insurance policy as a requirement to travel to the Turks and Caicos Islands and amend as needed to ensure adequate coverage.
