Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Amelia Ritter and Alec Seaman
We're so excited to share Detroit with you! Check out some of our faves below.
Eastern Market

Eastern Market

2934 Russell Street, Detroit, MI 48207

Open 6am-4pm on Saturday. Over 225 market vendors share their produce, baked goods, and handmade crafts with visitors every week at this Detroit tradition that is more than 125 years old. It's the perfect spot to grab a souvenir for the weekend! You can also enjoy restaurants for lunch like Farmer Frank's (amazing breakfast), Frank's Deli and Grill (incredible sandwiches), Bert's Marketplace, as well as various food trucks that are always at the Saturday markets.

Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation

Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation

20900 Oakwood Boulevard, Dearborn, MI 48124

This museum is a metro Detroit favorite, located in Dearborn near some of our room blocks. History lovers will enjoy seeing the Kennedy limousine, Rosa Parks bus, Abraham Lincoln chair, the Dymaxion House, and more at this amazing collection of museums. This would be a great place to spend Saturday morning or Sunday afternoon.

Detroit Institute of Arts

Detroit Institute of Arts

5200 Woodward Avenue, Detroit, MI 48202

Recently voted Best Art Museum in the United States by USA Today voters, this museum boasts one of the most comprehensive and diverse art collections in the country, showcasing a wide range of cultures and time periods. The museum's stunning exhibits and iconic "Detroit Industry Murals" by Diego Rivera offer a captivating glimpse into the city's rich artistic heritage and global significance.

Wheelhouse Detroit

Wheelhouse Detroit

1340 Atwater Street, Detroit, MI 48207

Wheelhouse offers a variety of experiential guided tours that explore various Detroit neighborhoods and themes. They are designed to be informative, safe, and fun. Bikers of all experience levels are welcome to join and learn more about architecture, automotive history, public art, cultural landmarks, sports, music, and more on one of their tours. It is a great way to see the city and Wheelhouse does an excellent job of keeping everyone engaged.

Comerica Park

Comerica Park

2100 Woodward Avenue, Detroit, MI 48201

The Detroit Tigers will be at home playing the Toronto Blue Jays during the weekend of our wedding. Comerica Park is a great ballpark to visit to grab a photo in front of the iconic tiger statues, enjoy the local food stands in the stadium, take a ride on the carousel...oh, and watch the baseball game too!

McShane's Irish Pub & Whiskey Bar

McShane's Irish Pub & Whiskey Bar

1460 Michigan Avenue, Detroit, MI 48216

It's a bold claim to say that McShane's has the best mac and cheese in the city, but I'm saying it. If that's not your vibe, the rest of the menu is also delicious, particularly the Irish egg rolls (a Detroit staple), pot roast, and shepherd's pie. Located in Corktown (about a 5-minute walk from our venue), which is the Irish neighborhood in Detroit, this is one of our favorite spots for a big meal.
