The US National Whitewater Center has trails to hike (free) and a variety of other outdoor activities such as white water rafting (man-made), zip lines, aqua deep solo rock climbing, and free live music Thursday - Sunday nights. Parking is $6.

U.S. National Whitewater Center

A fun bar in Charlotte with duck pin bowling, arcade games, a giant lite brite, and more. There's usually a food truck outside but there are numerous dining options nearby.

There are a few different hiking options that aren't strenuous and are pretty fun and easy to follow. If you go on Sunday, be prepared for a crowd. If you put "Crowders Mountain" into your maps you'll find a variety of access points.
