Destiny personified is how they would describe how they first meet. It was August of 2018, where Amber was working with HUMC Meridian Health Medical Group in Dr.Gabelman's office. Angel's father was a patient there for more frequent routine check ups to monitor his health condition, sadly his father has been battling lung cancer for 6 years . One day Mr.Peguero had an appointment for routine check up within the office ,where of course Amber was working that day. Angel and his father were sitting in the waiting room when Amber had called out to take Mr. Peguero to the exam room. Angel, who had not yet noticed that the love of his life just walked through the door, while he was distracted on his phone. As Amber exited the room to get the doctor, Angel remembers his father telling him how pretty Amber was but Angel just nodded and went back to his phone as they continued waiting. Once the visit was over Mr.Peguero whispered in Ambers ear “ I have something for you” , and that was the last time Amber seen Mr.Peguero. Fast forward a few days later , Angel had a routine appointment with the same office just for a wellness check up, then Boom ! It was ironic how Amber was the assistant again. As Amber called back Angel to the exam room she accidentally called the wrong name , she said “Angel Lopez” as Angel was the only one waiting in the waiting room he looked around confused and responded “Angel Peguero”, Amber was so embarrassed. During the visit it was required to do an EKG for wellness check ups. Amber asked Angel if he could remove his shirt , it was a moment of awkward silence then Angel began to ask Amber questions regarding her personal life as she was trying proceed with the test. Now if you all know when you get an EKG done the patient must be silent. Amber asked Angel if he can be quiet because he would not stop talking. Once she finished prepping Angel for the physician she exited the room and ran into the bathroom to hide because deep down she knew he was trying to get to know her a little more. Amber always swore to herself that she would never date a patient. Further on once Angel visit was over he was looking for Amber but she was still hiding in the bathroom til he left the office. Angel curiously asked her coworkers if she was seeing anyone and what her work schedule . Later on , Angel had to go back to Louisiana for the fall semester and Amber was curious as to why she has not seen him in a while. So she decided to take matters into her own hands and found him on Facebook . From then on ,they got to know each other virtually for 3 months. In November Amber received a phone call at the office from the Hospital that Mr. Peguero had passed away. She was devastated because the first person she thought about was Angel and wondered if he knew , of course she didn't want to be the bearer of bad news so she patiently waited until Angel returned to NJ . A few days later, the staff of Dr.Gabelman's office had attended the Memorial service. It was at the funeral that Angel and Amber briefly embraced in an intimate hug after spending months getting to know each other virtually. Amber had given Angel space to grieve with his family after the funeral, and a week later Angel called Amber and worked up the nerve to ask her out on a date. I think it's safe to say, the rest was history to a beautiful love story.
