It was a warm July night when a mutual friend invited us out for a drink at Harry's. A few drinks and lots of laughs later, and we became fast friends. It took about 6 months when another night out with friends finally sent sparks flying. The rest is history!

While we met in Iowa, most of our relationship has been lived out in Phoenix, AZ. In June 2018, Amari moved to Arizona, and a few short months later, in October, Miles followed. For three years, we explored the desert, finished our education, advanced our careers, and drank a lot of beer. It was an incredible experience that brought us closer together. We met so many amazing people and loved sharing our lives with family and friends who came to visit.

To celebrate our 3rd anniversary we took a brewery-themed road trip to northern Arizona, but there was a detour planned. Outside of Clarksville, AZ is Tuzigoot National Monument. We took a beautiful sunset walk through the trail, talking about the people of the past (both the Native Americans and our former selves). Then the moment of truth! "Do you wanna get married, baby?" Of course, it was a tearful and ecstatic "yes"! Thank you so much for being a part of our celebration!
