Take a beautiful stroll along the Colorado River (not that one, lol)! On-the-river activities are a big thing in Austin. So, look around for stand up paddle board, canoe, or kayak rentals :)

This is Austin's main park! Great spot to go for a walk/run. Or just lay out on the lawn and enjoy the city skyline. There is much to do in and around Zilker. Look through their website to see if something catches your eye!
Looking for a unique place to cool down from the TX sun? Barton Springs Pool is a historic Austin spot. The water comes from a natural spring and remains about 68 degrees all year round! There are lifegaurds, diving board, grassy spots to layout. Trust us, this place is kinda magical :)
Austin's "backyard"!! This amazing State Park has a lot to offer. Our dogs enjoyed it as much as we did, although Buckley did almost go over the falls... small rescue mission was needed, lol. Camping, bouldering, hiking, swimming... McKinney has it all. Just be sure to make a reservation a bit ahead of time.
A super cute small town America place with a thriving Main Street. Tons of great food, wine tasting, antiques shops, etc.. It's about a 90 min drive, but well worth it if you'll have a day free.
Austin has a pro soccer team and looks like they have a home game on Sunday the 26th!
Austin is known for it's quirky vibe and amazing art/music scene! Murals are a very encouraged thing here and you will see many beautiful ones all over the city. If you are looking for the perfect instagram photo op though, the Greetings From Austin Mural is the one!
