Rachel is Amanda's sister-in-law who joined the family twelve years ago! Rachel is married to Amanda's brother Marcelo and has felt like a sister from day one. Amanda has watched Rachel transition from college, to Dental school to now being a mother and is in awe by her ability to juggle it all. Common interests include group fitness classes (pre-covid), celebrity gossip and late night nacho supreme from Taco and Burrito House.
Johanna Romero
Matron of Honor
Johanna is married to Amanda's oldest brother, Tiago, and like Amanda, has a passion for travel, good food and family. Johanna is from Puerto Rico and some of Amanda's fondest memories involve vacationing there with her and her family. No one is more patient than Johanna--she walks Amanda through the same tax questions every year! Johanna is an excellent chef, a wonderful mother and the MVP of every bachelorette party.
Ashley Shaffer
Bridesmaid
Ashley is married to Trevor's brother Kyle and is Amanda's long-distance sister-in-law. Similar to Amanda, she works with children and is a pediatric oncology nurse. She's outgoing, bubbly and made Amanda feel comfortable instantaneously on Amanda's first family trip with the Shaffers in Mexico. She is the life of the party and Amanda feels lucky to have her as her newest SIL!
Kyle Shaffer
Best Man
As Trevor's younger brother, there are few people in this world that know the groom better. Trevor and Kyle have shared a life of memories together and continue to be the best of friends. They both share an unhealthy obsession with their alma mater football teams (USC for Trevor and Texas for Kyle), but cheer for the other's team, so long as they're not playing each other. The days of endless competitions and play fights throughout the house may be over, but these two are as close as ever. After Trevor's stellar performance as Kyle's Best Man in February, Kyle has some big shoes to fill.
Tiago Pappas

Tiago is Amanda’s oldest brother and it’s easy to see where she gets her kind-heartedness from. Tiago and his wife Johanna have welcomed Trevor into their lives with open arms and made him feel like a member of their family. Tiago and Trevor both share a love of the outdoors and have shared unforgettable experiences from hiking to cave diving in Puerto Rico to mountain biking. Tiago is always up for an adventure and Trevor can’t wait to build a lifetime of unforgettable moments.
Marcelo Pappas
Groomsman / Officiant
Marcelo is Amanda’s older brother and has been a lifelong source of laughs, which is why Amanda and Trevor have asked him to officiate the wedding! Marcelo and Trevor have shared numerous hours together on the golf course, many of which were spent searching for lost golf balls, but enjoying every second of it. Marcelo is always able to put a smile on everyone’s face, even while managing the chaos that constantly follows his three adorable children. Even with three little ones, Marcelo has always made room for Trevor to feel like he is part of the family.
