While we still plan to tie the knot this summer, our celebration has been canceled. We’ll keep you posted about new plans. Can't wait to celebrate!

Amanda and Harlan met at Jones Beach on 7/12/13 at a very rainy Phish show. Shocking! They spent the 2nd set together with Newman (Harlan’s brother) and Amy (Amanda’s [sorority] sister), & then went back to Amanda’s to dry off and raid Amanda’s parents’ fridge. It was when A told H about one of her favorite combos - everything pretzel crisps, grapes, & sweet munchee cheese, that he felt a spark of interest unlike anything he’d felt. But, Amanda lived in China. So a friendship began. About 1 year later Harlan planned a SE Asia trip and HK was a stop. A showed H around HK. They ate a ton & even went to a music festival. Harlan thought about letting Amanda know he had feelings for her.. but didn’t. How was he to be sure that they would be a perfect match, just like pretzels/grapes/munchee cheese? When Harlan flew back to NY, he couldn't stop thinking about Amanda...was there a future? Amanda moved back to NY in July 2015. H & A saw each other a bit, but it wasn’t until 1/1/16 Phish at MSG that something really clicked on her end. These two had the best time, running like antelopes and sharing in the groove. Amanda realized this was what she wanted. She felt like the combo was right, just like their first snack, and she was ready to see where this could go. Considering Harlan’s feelings, it didn’t take long for them to start dating. They became each other’s sweet +1’s very quickly. After 3 & a half years of countless (well, H does count) concerts, epic meals, many disappointing Mets games, moving to Park Slope, adopting Burger, and having all the phun, they were ready to keep the good times rolling. On 7/2/19 Harlan got home from work and said he was going to walk B. Amanda had been binging Euphoria all day and decided she should probably put pants on and join the boys. Harlan was glad because he proposed on this walk at their beautiful neighborhood garden on 6th Avenue. We can’t wait to celebrate our love and have the best night ever with y’all on 8/8.
