You should fly into Liberia Airport (Airport code: LIR), which is a little over an hour away from Tamarindo. This is a much better option than traveling into the San Jose (main) airport, which would be about a 4 1/2 hour drive. There are lots of transportation options including shuttles or car rental. If you don't want to rent a car, there are various shuttle options from the Libera Airport: https://www.tripadvisor.com/AttractionProductReview-g309240-d17565959-Private_Transfer_Liberia_Airport_to_Tamarindo_Area-Liberia_Province_of_Guanacaste.html There will be shuttle options for any day excursions we choose to do as well. Within Tamarindo, most things are pretty walk-able. At the main Air BnB, we'll have two golf carts as well.

Waterfall House

We rented this 7-bedroom house from February 4 - 11. The spacious 4-level villa is located 4 blocks from center of Tamarindo. It's just a 10 min walk to the city center and beach.

This is a really nice resort right on the beach and close by to the house we've rented. Last I checked, this was about $204/night in February.
