French’s Point is situated near Stockton Springs in the mid-coast region, with excellent local options for dining, shopping, galleries, and recreational activities. Picturesque nearby coastal villages include Camden, Rockport, Belfast, Bucksport, Blue Hill, and Ellsworth. Fly into Bangor International Airport, ME (BGR, our recommendation), a 40-minute drive from French’s Point. You can also fly into Portland, ME; Boston, MA; or Portsmouth, NH. Because the area is relatively rural, a rental car could be useful. Bus, taxi, and car services are also available in the region, but very limited.

Bangor Airport

This is a small airport that has limited flights in and out, however it is closest to the venue. Bangor Airport is about 40 minutes away from French's Point. We recommend renting a car or booking a taxi in advance.

Portland Jetport

If you plan to fly to Portland we recommend renting a car for the weekend. The Portland Jetport is about 2.5hrs from French's Point.

This is the main host hotel. Transportation has been arranged from this hotel to French's Point and back on Friday and Saturday (~20 minute drive). Nightly Rates: -Facing Route 1: $279 -Ocean View: $329 Breakfast is included. Two-night minimum stay required. Check-in time is after 3:00 PM and check-out is before 11:00 AM. Note: In order to receive the discounted group rate, guests must reserve either by calling the hotel directly and mentioning the Leer/Hueners wedding room block or by entering the group code on the hotel's website.
