We highly recommend you bring cash with you and exchange it in the airport upon arrival. The exchange rate in Jamaica is $1 USD = $151 JMD. A customary tip can be somewhere from $300-1000. Tipping in USD is fine too but you won't get change. Places you usually tip: On tours, sit down restaurants, hotel staff. Be very careful about which ATM you utilize if you decide to go that route.
