Travel Note
Madison has its own airport, the Dane County Regional Airport (MSN), which is located just a few miles from downtown Madison. The airport is served by several major airlines, including American, Delta, and United. Alternatively, if you prefer to fly into a larger airport, Milwaukee's General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) is about 90 miles east of Madison, and Chicago's O'Hare International Airport (ORD) is about 150 miles south of Madison. If you're driving to Madison, the city is easily accessible from several major highways, including I-90, I-94, and US-12. Getting around Madison: Madison has an excellent public transportation system called Metro Transit, which operates buses throughout the city. If you prefer to drive, car rental services are available at the airport and throughout the city.
