Halfway across the world two people were connected by a mutual friend. Chris made the three hour drive to meet up with Amanda. The pair connected instantly. They talked about everything and nothing during a strenuous five hour hike. The more they spoke, the more they realized how much they had in common. As the day wore on, the two realized they wanted to spend more time together, so they planned to spend the rest of Amanda's time in the country together. The rest, they say, is history. Amanda eventually went back to Florida, but the two spoke every day-sometimes for hours. Plans were made to visit each other in their respective countries, and eventually the two decided to embark on a summer of travel and adventure, thinking it will either make or break them (spoiler alert: they made it). On February 21, 2024, during a quick mountain getaway to celebrate Amanda's birthday, Chris dropped to one knee and popped the question! Now, the two are excited to share in their love with you.
