Travel Note
If you are coming from the Parkersburg area, the fastest way is to take Rt 50 and come across the mountains. It will cut about 30mins to and hour off your drive. If you choose to take this route be very careful on the GPS because it will take you a back way to avoid Maryland and you will end up on a narrow mountain road. The easiest (but not fastest) way to get from Parkersburg to Fredericksburg is to take I-77 S to Charleston and get on I-64 E. You will be on the WV turnpike so you will need toll money. I-64 will get you close to Charlottesville, VA and you will get off and end up on Rt 3. It is a pretty straight shot. If you are coming from Huntington, this is the recommended way you will go.
