We ask all of you to not use your phones during the ceremony as we want our photographers and videographers to get the best images possible. You will get the pictures of the ceremony and we promise they will be better than ones your phones would take! Also, just so you aren't confused when we walk out, the two of us will be barefoot for our ceremony. We wanted to symbolize our union rooted in God. When Alyssa went to New Zealand, the Māori would walk barefoot as they believed every step they took barefoot, connecting with the power of nature, was another step connecting them with the creator of life and all those who share the same ground. Being barefoot also symbolizes the humility and equality between us. Yes, Alyssa can be a crazy hippie, but just go with it.
