FAQs

Here are some answers to questions we are asked often! If your question was not answered or you want clarification on anything, feel free to call Alyssa, Ron, or the wedding coordinator at Mountain Springs Lodge, Jaimi Krenz.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by January 7th. If you have not RSVP'd by then we will assume you are not able to make it and we will not be able to accommodate you at our ceremony or reception. This wedding has a limited number of guests and space available, so it is important to hear back from you as soon as possible.

Question

So, what about all the things COVID related?

Answer

At this time, the wedding will go on regardless of COVID. We understand that getting the vaccine is a personal decision and people's opinions and feelings about COVID vary. We respect whatever your decisions and opinions are on this matter, and ask that you extend us the same courtesy as we want to do our best to protect all guests. We require that all unvaccinated folks get COVID tested via PCR test two to three days before the wedding and to have your vaccine card with you if you are vaccinated, in case it is needed for any of our events. Regardless of vaccination status, if you are concerned you have been exposed to COVID 10 days or less before the wedding, or have any symptoms of illness, please get tested and/or stay home. We do not plan to ask people to wear masks, but you are welcome to do so. We thank you tremendously for your cooperation and understanding. Please reach out to the bride or groom with your negative COVID test prior to the wedding and with questions you may have.

Question

I have kids, are they allowed at the wedding?

Answer

Unfortunately, with limited space available, we cannot accommodate children at the wedding other than the immediate family of the bride and groom. Thank you for your understanding of this.

Question

I have a food allergy or dietary need, will there be food for me?

Answer

Absolutely! Please include this information in your RSVP, or let the bride or groom know your needs no later than two weeks before the wedding, and we will make sure to let you know which foods to avoid or we can have the chef prepare a separate meal for you. We don't want anyone going hungry at our wedding!

Question

What does "cocktail attire" mean?

Answer

We have had some people ask what cocktail attire means, so we wanted to clarify what we are looking for. Cocktail attire implies 'semi-formal' or 'festive attire.' We ask that women please wear a dress, pant suit, or equivalent attire (if you wear a dress it can be any length). For men, please wear a nice button down and slacks with a button down, suit jacket and tie/bowtie. Another option is to wear a nice sweater overtop a button down so that you can shed layers post ceremony if desired. No jeans, please. We recommend googling this if it is still unclear because online gives many great suggestions of what this means. *Keep in mind, we will be outside for the ceremony and inside for the reception, so we recommend layers you can leave at your seat during the reception when the dancing begins!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! There is plenty of parking on-site. You will simply make your way to the entrance to Mountain Springs Lodge and there is a large parking area adjacent to where the reception will be held. There will be signs and ushers directing you where to be for the ceremony as it is in a separate location from the reception lodge.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please ask the bride and groom directly if you wish to bring a date. Depending on available space, we may be able to accommodate your date, but we cannot guarantee that we have room as we have a limit to how many guests we can allow.

Question

If the weather is not good enough to do the ceremony outside, where will it be held?

Answer

If the weather is too cold, rainy, blustery, or it is blizzarding, we will hold the ceremony in the Beaver Creek Lodge, which is the lodge you park in front of when you arrive at Mountain Springs. While we hope the weather is perfect for a snowy ceremony, we do realize it is winter and the weather can be unpredictable in February.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please be at the venue no earlier than 3:00pm and no later than 3:20pm for the ceremony. We will start promptly at 3:30pm with the processional. We will also be allowing guests to congregate in the Ponderosa Lodge where we will have warm beverages (coffee, tea, apple cider, and hot chocolate) to sip on before and during the ceremony. There will be a limited number of blankets available for those who wish to have one. We recommend bringing a warm coat, scarf, and/or gloves for the ceremony as we plan to be outside, but we will not keep you out there for longer than 20 minutes. We appreciate your willingness to endure the cold for a short time.

Question

Are dogs allowed at the venue?

Answer

Ron and Alyssa love dogs, but sadly no. Only Cooper, who has been given an exception by the venue, will be at the wedding because he is a participant in the ceremony.
