I was on a birthday trip in Seaside, Florida. Me, my godfather, and closest friends were having such a fun time celebrating. I had asked Marvin if there was any chance he could get off work to come. To my knowledge, work was too busy and it wasn't going to work. On our third day at the beach (I had finally lost hope he would come), my godfather took me and my friends out to eat at a nice restaurant. After that, we went to a beautiful beach bonfire that was entirely set up for us. I am talking about tiki torches, seats, a fire, a table with our favorite drinks, and the beautiful ocean. Close to 11pm my friend put on me and Marvin's song "Let's stay home tonight" by NEEDTOBREATHE. Moments later, he tapped me on the shoulder and purposed. I was completely shocked. Needless to say, it was an amazing trip. We cannot wait for all of you to share in this next chapter of life with us!

We met when I was 19 years old. He lived with his uncle and cousins at the time. His family happens to be some of my lifelong friends. For about the first year, me and Marvin were barely acquaintances. We just happened to live in the same house, at the same time. Fast forward to 2020 when it was peak covid time. During this time, me and Marvin became best friends. When he would get home from work, we could shoot basketball together, ride around and get food, hangout with friends, watch movies, play cards, and well, the rest is history!
