FAQs

The Wedding Website of Alyssa Brown and Harrison Gronlund
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please let us know by August 17, 2024 whether you plan to attend.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We are excited for you to dress up with us for our wedding! The attire is semi-formal. Think suits and ties or midi-length and full-length dresses. Fall colors are encouraged! Ladies, please refrain from wearing colors reserved for the bride including white, cream, or ivory. In case you're curious, the bridesmaids will be wearing burgundy.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive by 4:30 pm to make sure you can get settled before we start. The ceremony will begin promptly at 5 pm.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception at the same site?

Answer

Yes! Everything will be at The Pines. The ceremony will be held outdoors and the reception will be indoors. Colorado weather is unpredictable, but unless it is raining or very cold, we plan to try and keep the ceremony outside. Please pay attention to the forecast and bring an extra layer if necessary.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

There will be a cocktail hour with appetizers directly after the ceremony, followed by a reception with a sit-down dinner and lots of dancing. There will be an open bar for the entire evening. We want everyone to have lots of fun, but please drink responsibly!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Your invitation will say "{Your Name} + Guest" if you received a plus one. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We love your kids, but we are asking guests to refrain from bringing children unless otherwise stated on your invitation.

Question

Where should I stay for the weekend?

Answer

We have a hotel block for our guests at the Marriott Denver West. Please book using the link on the "Travel" page of our website to make sure you get the group discount rate. There are a couple other hotels listed on the travel page, and there are lots of other hotels or Airbnbs in the surrounding area if you would rather choose your own place!

Question

How far is the hotel from the airport?

Answer

The Marriott Denver West is 32 miles from Denver International Airport. You can drive (~40min) or take the train. Please see the link below for the Denver train map. You'll want to look specifically at taking the A train and W train. https://www.rtd-denver.com/system-map

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the venue?

Answer

Yes! We will have a shuttle to and from the Marriott Denver West (where our hotel block is) for anyone staying there. The shuttle will drop guests off at the venue at 4:30 pm and leave the venue when the reception ends at 11 pm, so if you would like to leave early, please arrange your own transportation. More details to come regarding the specific shuttle timing.

Question

Is there parking on-site at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is parking available at the venue. However, we encourage you to carpool or take Ubers if you plan on drinking during the event. Don't drink and drive! You may leave your car overnight at the venue as long as you pick it up by 10:30 am the next day. You may also take the shuttle to and from our hotel block at the Marriott Denver West.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We will be having casual welcome drinks on Friday, October 11 in the hotel bar at the Marriott Denver West starting at 8pm. Please note that this event will not have an open bar.
