Initially, we met in the fall of 2019 through mutual friends but didn't actually connect until January of 2020 when Jeremy asked Alysea to meet for an afternoon beer at Columbus House Brewery. Over the next three hours, a few beers and some fierce competition later, he was thoroughly crushed in Battleship (despite his best efforts), and a mutual connection began to grow that carried on and is still flourishing to this day.

Under the guise of a belated birthday trip, Jeremy "convinced" Alysea to go to Saint Petersburg, Florida for a long weekend. Through meticulous planning, arrangements which included a photographer backing out at the last minute, a resized ring that didn't arrive until the day before they left, and a very early flight, they (with friends in tow) landed for a long weekend on Friday, March 31st 2023 in Florida. Despite his best intentions, plans, and coordination with multiple parties, Jeremy managed to overlook one critical holiday of the trip - April Fools Day. After mild jabs that morning from Alysea and a relaxing day at the beach, they all headed to the Sunken Gardens that evening for a "quick walk around the garden". Jeremy was so nervous that he walked straight past the spot where the photographer was positioned. But with some help from friends, he managed to find his way back to the original spot where he proposed to the love of his life and against all odds she said yes! We love each and every one of you, and thank you all for holding such a special place in our lives. We cannot wait to celebrate with you all in August!
