We met on bumble and immediately bonded over our favorite workouts, but things quickly escalated when the COVID pandemic hit NYC full steam ahead during Erica's pulmonary and critical care fellowship only six weeks into our relationship. It was a whirlwind experience that bonded us both. Shortly after we had to navigate a long distance relationship across the country, but were finally able to reunite in New York City again and have not looked back. You can't deny the relationship has been tested, but it has also been full of love, laughter, fireball, and CrossFit. We look forward to a lifetime of showering each other (but mostly Ian) with attention, great house parties, weekend getaways, and late night snacks.

Ian was quite the schemer, enlisting Erica's big sister (Rebecca) and best friend (Annie) to ensure Erica was completely taken by surprise. We went to Florida under the guise of a "work trip" for Ian - spoiler alert, there was no work trip. However, there was a surprise engagement on the beach that took Erica some time to realize was actually happening. Ian, as always, had patience and eventually got down on one knee making it official. It was the perfect intimate engagement followed by Erica's dream meal at a private Omakase table. Food is clearly one of our love languages. Cannot wait to get married with all of you present!
