Monique and I first crossed paths on a cold March night in 2011 in Hoboken at a party for a mutual friend. While there was clearly a connection, we went separate ways after that evening - both of us went on to meet other people and continue our own journeys. It would not be until years later in 2016, when we met again at another mutual friend's house, that we realized maybe that night years before would not be the end of our story. As we spent the rest of that night catching up, we realized by great coincidence we had both recently moved to New Brunswick. We agreed that it would be a good idea to meet up and explore the city together. And explore we did - drinks downtown became dates in the city, which became trips across the country and adventures around the world. Five years of adventures later, on November 3rd, 2021, in New Hope, I asked Monique to marry me. Through tears, she said "Yes!" We are so excited to begin our new life together as husband and wife.
