Thanks to the help of a dating app named Bumble, we "matched" in May of 2016. We first met at the Stomping Ground where we connected over a shared love of black coffee, and enjoyed a conversation while walking around the Del Ray neighborhood. Allyson remembers how sweet, smart, and thoughtful Spencer was. Along with how patient and forgiving, as Allyson preceded to walk into several trees and bushes while distracted by the great conversation. There was just something about Spencer that immediately caught Allyson off guard. Spencer remembers what a vision Allyson was, and telling him she had recently sprained an ankle, and understanding why as they walked through Del Ray. But he mostly remembers how open-minded, thoughtful, smart, and caring she was as they wandered around the neighborhood. He remembers planning their second date in his head during their first date, and hoping she'd say yes.

Update: Thank you to family who were able to join us in Colorado for a pre-wedding reception on July 8. We recognize that travel to Charlottesville may be difficult, and we were glad to be able to celebrate with you.
