Separated by a city and a quarter of a lifetime, Allyson, making her way through her undergraduate degree at Cal State Fullerton and Raymond continuing this same journey at Cal Poly Pomona, finally found that which is sought through entire lifetimes in one another, true, unconditional, impermeable love. Immediately they connected as two halves of a lost whole, the seed of romance was planted. The worlds they navigated at this time were not of ease and cluttered with insurmountable forces of opposition that either breaks and dissolves or unifies in permanence. These two have, together, passed the tests of self-sacrifices, compassion, fear, and vulnerability, as they now stand before a test they greet with open arms and longing hearts, the test of time. Allyson and Raymond have since completed their undergraduate degrees. With unwavering support for one another Allyson has also completed her Master’s degree in Behavioral Analysis and Raymond is looking to apply to a PhD program in Clinical Psychology. The love of these two drives the selflessness and passion required to surpass the pitfalls that accompany each day and the turbulence of life’s journey. Time and time again the love for one another has not only been spoken but also proven whether it is in acts such as Raymond’s conversion to Catholicism or Allyson’s effort and involvement in 2020’s civil rights movement. Allyson and Raymond have grown together in ways that are unimaginable individually and continue to do so. The love between them continues to grow in radiance as they face their future with the passionate optimism visible in their bright eyes and felt in the warmth of their hearts.
