Shortly after graduating from the University of South Carolina, we met working at Chick-fil-A and quickly became friends within our leadership roles. We spent most days sharing laughs, exchanging sarcastic remarks, and enjoying each other's company throughout the work week. After a heavily suggested and overdue first date, we both realized that we wanted to pursue a relationship.

On Friday, July 1st, 2022 the gloomy, rainy weather had cleared just in time for an engagement at Litchfield By The Sea. With the help of both of our families, Alex surprised me on the beach where I grew up vacationing for the most memorable trip to date! After many attempts to retrieve the ring in time, Alex proposed with a trail of rose petals, champagne, a giant diamond ring-shaped pool float, and a backup ring from Target because the real thing got lost in the mail! We had an audience cheering from every angle and happily soaked up the long weekend in celebration.
