Our first picture together! We took Muni to Clement Street, then walked to Ocean Beach and collected sand dollars.

I can tell this is early in our relationship because I was too ashamed to wear Chacos even though we walked a long ways and they provide better arch support.

We took our first trip together during winter break 2019, to SoCal. We stayed with Ally's cousins, Erika and Jon, and though you can't tell from this looks of it, Jon schooled all of us in mah jong.

Before we got into reading Harry Potter to each other, we tried to get into the same young adult series. But I really liked it and Matt really didn't, so we ended up just using them as pillows.

The pandemic was filled with trips to Santa Cruz (where Ally helped take care of her nephew), walks to the Embarcadero to read Harry Potter, and cooking for a Zoom Iron Chef with Matt's friends.

One time Matt made an odd facial expression and said he was "Droopy," which I didn't have any frame of reference for til we found my Auntie Susie's cookie cutters a week later. We found Droopy!

The first time we were Love Burned. love•burn (v.) // when you eat too many friend things and then accidentally pass out for 2+ hours. Happens to us very regularly.

Who did it better???

We spent a good chunk of our pandemic summer hammocking at the park across from Matt's home, reading and playing on our phones.

After getting addicted to solving crosswords together, we made each other Valentines crosswords. Ours were each hard for different reasons: mine was 400+ clues and Matt's was insanely cryptic.

Matt and I got vaccinated at the Chinatown Walgreens, and someone thought we were siblings. We are here sitting in the waiting area to make sure we don't pass out or have an allergic reaction.

The first thing we did after getting our vaccine appointments was book flights to Maui! Here we are eating passionfruit ice cream on the Road to Hana.
