Ally and Kellen met at UMHB while serving on a steering committee together for welcoming incoming freshmen. They both were placed on the promotions committee and bonded over their creative passions. Quickly, they realized they had a lot more in common beyond just the event!

While working on homework together, Kellen asked Ally out on a date. They went to a local restaurant, The Gin, followed by ice cream at Sweet Rolled Tacos. They capped off the night with watching one of Ally's favorite movies, Baby Driver.

For their second date they planned a picnic at Morgan's Point. There, they painted, ate snacks, and made it official.

After two years of dating, Kellen planned a surprise picnic and proposed to Ally in the same spot they had made it official at just a couple years prior.
