We met our freshman year at the University of Tennessee. He played football and I played softball. From our first date at the Knoxville Zoo until now, we have been best friends and soulmates. We have supported each other through ACL surgeries, transferring schools, triumphs, failures, and more. After 2 1/2 years of being together in Knoxville, we embarked on another 2 1/2 year long distance journey. J.T. moved to Boulder, CO to pursue his football dreams and I moved to Tuscaloosa, AL to pursue my softball dreams as well. Although it was difficult, it allowed us to grow individually as people and it allowed our love to grow stronger. Now, since I have finished my softball career and my masters, we can finally close our long distance chapter and open a new one! J.T. is currently finishing up his masters in business finance and pursuing the NFL draft this April. I plan on applying to medical school this May.
