Question

How will the event be COVID safe? Are vaccines required?

Answer

To ensure the safety and peace of mind of all of our guests and vendors, all guests must be fully vaccinated. We will continue to monitor all CDC guidance and the latest science as we get closer to August 2022. Our ceremony and the first two hours of the reception will be outside but the dinner and dancing are indoor. We will make sure our choices closely adhere to the CDC's recommendations.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We request everyone wear cocktail attire. The Groom is not wearing a tux so men, you are off the hook! Ladies, regardless of your outfit, we highly suggest you leave the stilettos at home. The ceremony and cocktail hour are outside and you also will have the opportunity to explore the grounds of Stan Hywet which could be troublesome in stilettos. Dancing shoes required!

What are the transportation options?

Answer

For guests staying at the Courtyard Marriott or Blu-tique Hotel, we will have a shuttle bus from the wedding hotel to the venue. The shuttle will leave from the Marriott at 2:30pm, and from Blu-tique at 3:00pm. The shuttle bus will also transport people to the after party at Lock 15 or the hotel after the reception. Stan Hywet offers free parking for wedding guests who are driving, as well as the option to leave cars overnight.

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

Yes! We have rooms blocked at the Downtown Akron Courtyard Marriott and the Blu-tique Hotel. For those staying at these hotels, we will have a shuttle to and from the venue (more details to come). Both are also walkable from our After Party spot, Lock 15 Brewery! Are children invited?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to space constraints at the venue, we are unable to host children on Saturday. However, children are very welcome to the Thursday cookout and Sunday brunch!

No name changes here. We will continue to be Justin Spees and Allison Rochford.
