Ryan and Allison met the old-fashioned way, via an online dating app. Ryan chose a romantic North End Italian restaurant for their first date on March, 8, 2019. Within a month, Ryan brought Allie to a black tie gala event. Since then, Allie has traded in her formal attire for hiking boots and bug spray to join Ryan on his outdoor adventures. In July 2019, Ryan invited Allie on a trip to Prince Edward Island where they enjoyed oysters, campfires and country music on the coast. They even survived a 12-hour drive home without a functioning radio! Ryan proposed to Allie on the site of their future home on April 3, 2021. Building the house together, Allie leveraged her knowledge from years of watching HGTV while Ryan did his best to super-size everything. Ryan grew up in Nashua, NH with his parents, Ray and Susan, sister Casey and brother Matt. He graduated Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) with a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering in 2008. Ryan played basketball for four years in college and, along with his senior classmates, achieved the winningest record in WPI Men’s Basketball Team history. Since graduation, Ryan has worked at AECOM Tishman and currently is a Senior Project Manager. Ryan enjoys his time outdoors mountain biking, golfing and spending time on the water at Newfound Lake, NH. Allison grew up in Marblehead, MA with her parents, Jim and Margot and brother Andrew. She graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 2008. Allie’s favorite college memories stem from her years on the football field as a member of the BC Dance Team. After working as a nurse in Boston for over 7 years, Allie decided she needed a break from shoveling out of the Southie snow banks. She convinced her best friend, Sarah to join and the pair moved to the sunny west coast as travel nurses. Allie now works as the Boston Children’s Hospital Emergency Department Nurse Manager. She enjoys traveling, reading, the beach and sleeping in on Saturdays.
