Better together

We met on a dating app but met up in person on 8/21/17. It was Allison’s first day of nursing school and the day of the solar eclipse. We watched the eclipse together during a break between classes. Katie drove all the way from Marietta!

Katie proposed to Allison at the Tennessee Aquarium in the butterfly exhibit. This is one of Allison’s favorite places and also one of the first places we went as a couple! Katie got down on one knee and her best friend (Carlie) and her son (Watson) were there recording as were Allison’s parents and sister. Allison proposed to Katie at Rome Pride, only the second pride to be hosted in Rome and the first one either of us attended. Allison proposed on the lock bridge where the couple placed a lock 4 years prior on their second anniversary. Katie’s best friend Carlie was there and recorded the entire thing, everyone on the bridge stopped to let us have our moment!
