Things To Do

If you're in town for a few days surrounding the wedding, these are some things we would recommend checking out!

Memorial Union

800 Langdon Street, Madison, WI 53703

This is one of the best spots in Madison to hang out at. You can grab a drink and/or a snack and go sit out on the terrace overlooking Lake Mendota. Some of the best ice-cream can also be found inside the union, including the bride's favorite blue moon ice-cream!

Madison Farmer's Market

20 East Mifflin Street, Madison, WI 53703

If you come into town early and are looking for something fun to do Saturday morning, the bride recommends you go check out the Farmer's Market around the Madison capitol. Make sure to grab some fresh cheese curds while you're there!

Nitty Gritty-Madison

223 North Frances Street, Madison, WI 53703

If you're looking for somewhere to eat, the Nitty Gritty has a great burger and a fun atmosphere. It's also right by the Kohl's Center so you could walk over there to check that out too!

Olbrich Botanical Gardens

3330 Atwood Avenue, Madison, WI 53704

These gardens are free to the public for you to walk around and admire their beauty. There are lots of great photo ops throughout!

Wisconsin State Capitol

2 East Main Street, Madison, WI 53703

The State Capitol is a gorgeous building that is worth checking out, even if you just step inside to admire it's architecture. Free tours are offered daily and no reservation is needed! They start at the information desk Monday through Saturday at 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 am and 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 pm; and Sundays at 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 p.m.

University Ridge Golf Course

9002 County Road PD, Verona, WI 53593

Do you like to golf? This course is a personal favorite of the bride's dad. Make sure to grab a tee time if you want to play a round!

Camp Randall Stadium

1440 Monroe Street, Madison, WI 53711

Camp Randall is home of the Wisconsin Badger's football team. Tours are unavailable Fridays during football season, Thursdays before a home football game, or during football practices. Tours are available May through October. Tours last approximately 60 minutes and are walking intensive.

Union South

1308 West Dayton Street, Madison, WI 53715

UW-Madison doesn't just have one union, but two! At Union South, there is a climbing wall, a bowling alley, and places to eat and drink. Check out their website to see what else they have going on!

UW-Madison Lakeshore Nature Preserve

2000 University Bay Drive, Madison, WI 53705

If you're looking for some good walking/hiking trails with some pretty scenery, this is a great place to come to. There are some beautiful walks along the lake, including a walk out to Picnic Point, a perfect place to have a picnic or sit and enjoy the water!
