We can't wait to celebrate our big day with you!

The first time I saw Joel, I had no idea who he was or that I would one day marry him, I just knew he was freaking hilarious. Years later, I found out the mysterious guy wearing bright orange arm floaties at the Titanic themed prom was in fact my boyfriend I had met at work. On what I thought was our first date, Joel told me he really liked me but he made a promise to himself that he would not date for a year. "But it's not even a year anymore because I made that promise a while ago," he said trying to soften the blow. He then realized he just set himself up for another let down as 'a while ago' turned out to only be 5 days ago. Long story short, I decided to stick it out with him; we became best friends during that year. The song, "I Will Wait" by Mumford and Sons became our theme song during that time. And when the year was up, on August 27, 2017, we had our first kiss and were finally boyfriend and girlfriend! Throughout those years of dating, we went through a lot of life experiences, both good and bad that strengthened our love and commitment to each other. While life made us wait, we know this is finally the perfect time. Don’t get me wrong we are both so ready for our wedding day to arrive! When Joel asked when we should get married, I couldn’t think of a more fitting day than the date that started it all! We are so excited to exclaim our love and commitment to each other on a day so significant to us. After 5 years of waiting, our time has come. We will be husband and wife, at last.
