In order for this event to be as stress-less as possible, we are going to ask for several things for everyone's safety and comfort: 1. If you are not vaccinated, we request that you take a COVID test prior to arriving and to wear a mask while we are inside. 2. If you are traveling on a plane, train, or bus, please wear a mask as you travel to the wedding. We will have masks available at the wedding and reception. While things are starting to return to normal, we are still in a pandemic, and want everyone to feel comfortable.
Absolutely! We love kids. However, we will not have babysitter services on-site. So please plan accordingly.
This depends! We will have shuttles available to and from the hotels and wedding venue, so you don't need to worry about that. Are you intending to just come to the ceremony and reception? Uber/Lyft, as well as taxis, are very common in the area and can get you to and from the airport with ease. If that's not your vibe, the area is very public transit friendly. You can get a SmarTrip card from any DMV metro station. From Dulles International Airport, there's an airport shuttle to the silver metro line. Ride that and then get off at Wiehle-Reston East Metro Station. From there, you can take the 494 or the 495 bus to the hotels. (This is about a 50 minute trip.) From Reagan National Airport, you can take the blue line up to the Rosslyn Metro Station and then transfer to the silver. You'll then ride until the Wiehle-Reston East Metro Station. You can then take the 494 or 495 bus to the hotels. (This is about a 1.25 hour trip.) From Baltimore International Airport, you can take the airport shuttle to the MARC train station and buy a ticket at the station. You will then ride that to Union Station, where you will want to pick up the red line to Metro Center Station. From there, you will transfer to the silver line and take that until you reach Wiehle-Reston East Metro Station. And then you can take the 494 or the 495 bus to the hotels. (This is about a 2.5 hour trip.) Metro transit fares are determined by distance traveled. All buses are $2.00 per trip. There is a $0.50 discount for traveling from rail to bus and vice versa. Are you planning to explore the area a little and make a trip of it? You may want to consider a rental car. While Jack and Allison don't particularly enjoy driving into D.C., you definitely can. At the very least, a rental car can get you to and from a metro park-and-ride and then you can explore the area from there!
Nope! Open bar! But tips will be appreciated for our dedicated bar staff!
No worries! The bride doesn't drink, either! We're going to have plenty of non-alcoholic options, even for the signature drink and the champagne toast!
