We met on a sunny Saturday afternoon in February on the patio of a new local bar, Two Headed Dog. Jack's friend Greg was in town for the weekend and so they went out to enjoy a cocktail before heading out to dinner. Allison was with a friend exploring some local galleries when the two of them had stopped in to grab a quick drink and enjoy the perfect patio weather. We were introduced by our mutual friend Zach, who was with Jack that day, and couldn't stop talking. After that day we went on two more dates before the world shut down and the rest of our story began.

Every year we look forward to taking a ski trip with a group of friends. Getting out of warm and humid Houston in favor of a cold, snowy, and cozy mountain town is our ideal winter getaway. (Allison loves the snow!). We had been dreaming of taking a bucket list trip to Whistler, Canada, and this was finally the year! After two days of skiing, we met at the mountaintop lodge on the third day for a group photo. To Allison's surprise, Jack had a ring tucked away under his ski jacket and got down on one knee in front of a picture perfect backdrop.

We are looking forward to celebrating our marriage with our family and friends in our hometown, Houston. We've selected the beautiful Julia Ideson Building, a restored library from the 1920's in the heart of downtown for both our ceremony and reception location. Bring your dancing shoes and well wishes, we can't wait to see you!
