In the dark, pre-vaccine days of 2020, a housebound and restless Allison swiped right on a guy who lived 30 minutes away even though she didn't own a car. After a three-hour FaceTime date, and weeks of texting and collaborating on New York Times crossword puzzles, they finally met face-to-face. Ever the gentleman, Davin picked her up (in his very cool convertible) and they headed back to his place to cook dinner together… since most bars and restaurants were still closed. Davin had a whole menu planned out on notecards so that they wouldn’t have to keep looking at their phones - Allison thought this was an incredibly thoughtful and sweet gesture. The “no phones” rule did backfire later though, when Allison’s mom panicked at her lack of text replies and called the cops to do a wellness check on her. Oops! Something about that hilarious (and embarrassing) end to the evening, however, made Allison think that day might end up being special.
Allison and Davin decided to spend their third anniversary at The Bungalows resort in Key Largo, FL. After signing for a mysteriously light and unmarked FedEx package a week before the trip, Allison had a *feeling* about what was coming. But she didn’t know that Davin had arranged a photographer to capture their proposal. After wandering around the beautiful resort grounds snapping a ton of shots, they made their way to the beachfront where Davin got down on one knee. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Key West!
