Falling In Love!

We both went to Maize High School and knew of each other, but did not meet until a mutual friend introduced us. We would talk here and there and eventually became good friends, but we stayed as friends since Dalton was in a relationship and I was focusing on school and dance. Fast-forward to Black Friday in 2015, we ran into each other at Gordmans and talked for what seemed like forever about what was going on in each other's lives. About a month later, Dalton told me that he ended the relationship he was in and was wondering if we could hangout. Over the next two months, we started to grow especially close bonding over our love for sports, dance, animals, and food. It was during this time that we both began to harbor feelings for each other and thought we could be something special!

At the beginning of 2018, I found out that my old artistic director was starting a new ballet company, Metropolitan Ballet of Wichita, to put on another showing of The Nutcracker. I had made several comments stating that this would be the perfect opportunity to perform in The Nutcracker one last time before getting into the heart of the nursing program at Newman University. It was these comments that got Dalton thinking that the best way to propose was on stage after one of the performances. Little did Dalton know that after talking to the artistic director to get permission, that he was going to be cast as the Nutcracker Prince and perform in the show. After 4 weeks of rehearsal and 1 performance, Dalton pulled me to the front of the stage after the Sunday performance and popped the question in front of a packed Scottish Rite Center Auditorium.
