Brad & I met how most Millenial couples meet these days - on Bumble. Unbeknownst to us at the time, we had actually matched a year prior on Hinge. Brad was too slow to respond to me the first time so unfortunately that interaction went no where. Brad's Bumble profile mentioned how he worked at an ice cream company, so I sent a message asking what my favorite two ice cream flavors (Superman & Butter Pecan) said about me. We messaged for over a month before our first date in Northville. We met for drinks at Simply Wine and enjoyed dinner after at The Garage, bonding over our shared love of all things Michigan State (Go Green!). Fast forward over a year later, and Brad planned a special date night for us in downtown Northville, followed by a weekend up north. Our weekend started early after work on a Thursday night where Brad was adament we walk into Northville for our 7:30 PM dinner reservation. I was hangry as I usually like to enjoy dinner no later than 6 PM and couldn't understand why we had to walk and why we were eating so late. Nonetheless, we walked into downtown and along the way Brad stopped, got down on one knee and proposed! I was not at all expecting it to happen when and where it did, and Brad had a photographer there to capture my reaction. We enjoyed dinner that night in Northville, and it turns out Brad had an extra special weekend planned for us with golfing and staying the night at Arcadia Bluffs (pictured here). Not only was I completely surprised, but so were our parents! They expected it to happen a few months later when we did an East Coast trip. Brad had planned the entire weekend totally by himself and had put so much thought into all the details. It was perfect!
