Our Story - Allison’s Version

We met in college in 2018, I was a sophomore and Landon was a freshman. We instantly hit it off and enjoyed going on all kinds of adventures during college. We both still love the Crimson Tide and are lifelong fans. We have so many great memories in Bryant-Denny stadium, singing Dixie Land Delight after a big win, and celebrating two National Championships during our time. After my senior year spring break in Reno, NV, COVID shut everything down. We had our first “practice” run at living together in Tuscaloosa, AL and we had a blast that summer! I ended up getting a job in Mobile, AL and we dated long-distance for about a year. It was a tough time but we still got to see each other a lot. Landon was working really hard during his senior year to finish school so we could be back together; he even took 27 credit hours in one semester! I ended up moving back to Tallahassee for a great job opportunity and once Landon graduated, he got his current remote job and moved down so we could be together. We never planned on being back in Tallahassee, but what a great time it has been. We had a cute little first apartment, and dealt with a lot during our first year living together. Only two months into living together, we got our Golden Retriever, Mac. He was the first member of our little family. Shortly after, we adopted our cat Beans. He and Mac are the best brothers and they keep Landon company while he works from home. After having a hard time with our first apartment, we started looking at houses. One day, Landon sent me a house listing on Zillow and said “if we could get a house like this, I could stay in Tallahassee longer”. And that ended up being the exact home we purchased. In August of 2023, Landon planned a birthday trip for me and some of our closest friends at St. George Island. This beach is near and dear to my heart as I grew up going to our family beach house here. On one night of this trip, everyone tricked me into taking “girl photos” and dressing up nice. Landon asked to take a walk on the beach while everyone else finished getting ready. He ended up stopping right in front of our family’s old beach house and got down on one knee. After 6 years of being together and loving him every day, it was the easiest “yes” I’ve ever said. I can’t wait to be his wife and spend the rest of my life loving such an incredible man.

For all the days along the way
