November 6, 2016 - one of the best moments of my life. we were on vacation w his family in pigeon forge, tennessee. like any other night, we were going out for dinner. so, we walked and walked and walked while his aunt, mary, took picture after picture after picture. weirdly enough, every picture that mary was taking brandon became more and more stand offish w me, so w me being me i couldn’t help but to be like “uhm ok, not sure what i did wrong, but ok” lol. eventually, the family and i came across this beautiful fountain that was changing different colors and there was a separate ceremony going on - a wedding and a gender reveal. so, we all made ourselves comfortable in the chairs around the fountain to watch the beautiful ceremony from a distance. after about 10 minutes, the ceremony was ending and i’m starving. i’m waiting for someone to make a gesture about finding something to eat, but instead his family wants to take pictures, AGAIN. which is nothing out of the ordinary, but what WAS was that his entire family pulled out each and every one of their phones and says “brandon and allie, stand up there in front of the fountain so we can get a picture of you guys” - not normal. we’re never the first ones to take a picture. it goes like this: neil (brandon’s dad) and his sons, carol (nano) glynn (papaw) and the boys, marcy (brandon’s aunt) and brians (brandon’s uncle) family, and so on. never us first and never is there more than one phone out taking pictures. so immediately, it raises my attention and i glue my butt to the chair. a lot of encouragement and time passes by for me to get out of the chair to take a picture. my plan: take a picture, run back to my seat. that didn’t happen. we took a picture, i try to run, brandon grabs my hand, and he’s on one knee. what do i say? “you don’t want to do this” and slowly back up lol, poor guy. ultimately, i said yes and w very shaky hands, he finally got the ring on my finger!
