If you're willing to venture outside the French Quarter, Jaccques-Imo's is a can't miss restaurant. It's fun and casual with plenty of New Orleans' flare. But fair warning...they usually do not take reservations.
A beautiful park across from Tulane University with a par 3 golf course and nice walking and biking paths. Also, right next to the Audubon Zoo and The Fly, a grassy hangout on the banks of the Mississippi River. Seeing all the sights could make a nice afternoon!
