"Come to a Water Conservation Meeting" - Ben

Ben's version: I first ran into Allie in the halls of Patriot High School where we both worked. I knew she coached lacrosse and that she worked with students with special needs but that was about it. The following year she was assigned to work with a teacher I knew (thanks Brook!) and so I tried to get to know her better by inviting her to the "Water Conservation Meeting" AKA Happy Hour after school on Friday. I asked her again the following week to which she did not show but at least gave me her number. We began texting and she finally agreed to go see a movie with me. Finally, a first date! One date turned to two and two to three until we decided to go to the Cavender Halloween Party together. We had a great time and on actual Halloween, I mustered the courage to ask her officially to be my girlfriend. We had many more adventures together such as apartment Christmas parties, trips to the arcade to play big buck hunter, and then she came out to Montana to visit Yellowstone and see my family's cabin. Who knew the following year, I'd be asking her to marry me July 4th. After a couple unsuccessful attempts, I finally was able to ask her while we were watching fireworks and drinking PBR overlooking the Madison River. Allie's version: My first interaction with Ben came at 7am on a Friday morning while I was still half asleep. Some teacher, (Ben), was in front of me offering me candy and asking me to play kickball in a tournament. Great start because if any of you know me you know my love for candy and for competition. Soon after, Ben was asking me to join him at a "water conservation meeting" aka happy hour. I eventually worked up enough courage to go to one and it immediately paid off. I have been very lucky to get to know and fall in love with Ben over these past 3 1/2 years and cannot wait to continue to grow in love together. We are so excited to share our big day with friends and family!
