FAQs

We hope the information below answers any questions you may have about our event. If you have others, feel free to reach out to us directly or contact us via the message field in our RSVP!
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony and reception are black tie optional; tuxedos are not required but are welcome!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM. We've been waiting for a few years, so we plan to start on time!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes, we have various parking options for guests coming in for the day and those staying overnight. Guests coming in for the day will be able to take advantage of event pricing — $30 for up to 8 hours in the garage at the Chicago Athletic Association. You will see the valet stand at 71 E Madison St., which is just the north side of the hotel vs. the east-facing entrance on Michigan Avenue. Note that you will not be able to valet on Michigan Avenue! For guests staying overnight, you can also valet at 71 E Madison St. for a cost of $72 per night, to be billed to your room if you are staying at CAA. This parking includes unlimited in and out access. Alternatively, overnight guests can park at the Grant Park North Millennium Garage (25 N Michigan Ave, Chicago IL 60602) for a reduced rate. See the following link for rates and pre-purchase options (https://www.millenniumgarages.com/all-garages/grant-park-north-garage/).

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

No, all of our hotels are conveniently located in the Loop, less than a half mile from the Chicago Athletic Association. For anyone staying at Chicago Athletic, you'll just take the elevator upstairs!

Question

Should we plan for winter weather?

Answer

Average weather for the beginning of April would mean highs in the 50s and lows in the 40s, but anything can happen in Chicago! We will have coat check available regardless of the weather that day.

Question

What COVID restrictions will be in effect?

Answer

As of 2/28/2022, the City of Chicago vaccine requirement and mask mandate have been lifted. We will not collect proof of vaccination from our guests, and there will not be masking requirements at our event. These rules may change in the coming weeks, and we will continue to update our website with the latest information.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We will be having an adults-only celebration. We hope you understand!

Question

I have a food allergy or dietary restriction — can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, please provide any dietary restrictions as a part of our online RSVP.
