Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The ceremony will take place outdoors on an unshaded lawn overlooking Lake Michigan. There is a large tented area that can be fully enclosed in the case of inclement weather.

Will the reception be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The cocktail hour and dinner will take place under a large tented area just a few steps away from the ceremony location. Dancing will take place in the chalet building next to the tented area. Drinks can be found throughout the evening at the bar in the chalet building. See the "Schedule" tab of our website for more details.

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?
Answer
Yes! Michillinda Lodge has a few parking lots scattered throughout the property. Below is a link to a map of the venue: https://www.michillindalodge.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Michilinda-Lodge-Map-2021.pdf The wedding ceremony will be taking place in the area that is designated as "wedding deck" and the reception will take place at the area that is designated as "picnic area" and "common room and chalet."

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Please join us between 5:00pm and 5:25pm for the ceremony to start at 5:30pm!

Are children welcome?
Answer
We know that many of you have little ones, so children are absolutely welcome to attend! Unfortunately the venue does not have child-friendly seating (i.e., highchairs; only folding chairs available). Please plan accordingly with a supplemental seating option for your child (such as a booster seat, car seat, stroller, etc.). If your child is going to attend the ceremony, reception, or both, please let us know when you RSVP!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?
Answer
Yes! Please let us know of any dietary restrictions when you RSVP. On the RSVP page, there will be a designated section where you can list any dietary restrictions that we need to be aware of.
Question
Transportation: Can I Uber or Lyft around town or to/from the airport?
Answer
While it may be possible to find an Uber or Lyft, it seems that they are not reliable in the Whitehall area. If you are flying to Michigan for the weekend, we highly recommend getting a rental car or coordinating with other guests who have a vehicle. We will do all we can to support in transportation, so please let us know as soon as possible if you need any assistance coordinating a ride to or from the venue.
