Charming downtown neighborhood with excellent restaurants and cute shops. We recommend grabbing lunch at Plank Seafood, Blue Sushi, or M's Pub. Stop by the Made in Omaha store for fun local gifts. Round out the trip with a visit to the Durham Museum to check out their grand hall with a gorgeous Christmas tree and enjoy the opportunity to take in some local history.
Home to our reception venue, this fun Omaha neighborhood has plenty of chic eateries and an active nightlife - get "A Boot" (to share) and a reuben at the Crescent Moon Ale House (one of Matt's favorite spots), grab a cocktail at the swanky Red Lion Lounge, or stop by Early Bird for a tasty brunch. Other favorites include Coneflower Creamery, Renos Karaoke, and Scriptown Brewery.
The Best in the World! Even in the wintertime, there's plenty of indoor exhibits and lots to see! Abby recommends taking a walk through the Lied Jungle and the Kingdoms of the Night Nocturnal Exhibit under the Desert Dome.
Enjoy a lowkey afternoon or evening playing boardgames and sipping coffee and drinks at this fun cafe. They have over 3,000 boardgames to choose from.
Block 16 - Home to Alton Brown's favorite burger, this restaurant serves outstanding burgers, specialty sandwiches and loaded fries (we recommend the Duck Duck Goose Fries). Via Farina - Homemade pasta and oven fired pizza served alongside top notch craft cocktails. The Wicked Rabbit - A speakeasy bar that can be found hidden behind an unassuming liquor store . . . but only if you know the password. Pettit's Pastry - Open 5:00am everyday, a great place to pick up a pastry for a quick breakfast on your way out of town. Matt recommends a dutch letter or an apple fritter.
