I must say, I should’ve left him on read lol! It was the end of football season in 2012, the football team would normally leave 7th period and head to the field house to prepare for practice for the day, but during the off season they came into the gym to sit for 7th period. I know you wondering where do I come in at! Well I had gym 7th period my freshman year of high school, the whole time the football team was sitting in the gym I never seen Raekwon. It was one day, school was dismissed, I walked to the buses with my older brother Trek, at the time he was talking to one of my friends (yeah he was the senior biting down on a freshman, but yeah that’s neither here nor there lol) and he was telling me to tell her to text him. So this guy walks up to where we are standing and he just says “you ain’t gone text me” so I look at him and say “I don’t have your number” he gives me his number and we go on about our day. That particular day, the basketball team was playing at Oxford, I was a cheerleader but we did not cheer at that game so later that evening, I can’t remember if I had cheerleading practice that day but I text Raekwon and asked “wyd?” He text me back and says “who dis?” At that moment I should’ve left him on read because what you mean “who dis” lol! Like sir you gave me your number and you wanna play like you don’t know it’s me, but I did text him back and tell him it was me like a dummy lol. We continued to text each other and would occasionally talk on the phone. It was until December of 2012 that we finally made it official. I was cheering for basketball and we had an away game that caused for us to leave a little early, so we were texting during school and he tells me to meet him outside of the freshman academy. It was so cold out there, but we talked real briefly and he asked me then to be his girlfriend. Of course I said yes and we shared our first kiss in front of the Freshman Academy at Anniston High School! We officially began writing our love story on 12/12/12 ❤️
