The Beginning...

Log-in, Check messages. February, 2013

He logs-in for the first time that day, scrolling past potential matches hes done so many times in the past, blankly scrolling he stops at a new match. She was cute with fire in her eyes and a crooked smile that makes time stop. He wrote her a message and went on with his day. Her phone goes off alerting her of a new message from a potential match, rolling her eyes at the though of another dead end conversation she checks the message. The first thing she notices is his quirky sweet smile dark eyes and adorable little boy in his photo. She decided to reply, they exchanges messages back and forth then finally exchanged numbers. Everything was going so well they agreed on a date. He picked her up and took her to a local Chinese restaurant, her favorite she had told him. He couldn't stop looking in her eyes, she was nervous and couldn't stop smiling. She liked him, and he her. He paid their bill, they decided it was still early and started to drive, they drove for three hours talking, laughing, sharing secretes and fears. Before the end of that night they knew, “Simply meant to be.”

The Proposal

The night of our fifth anniversary.

Her Brother was on Military leave for Christmas, This was his opportunity to ask her three biggest male influences if he could ask her to marry him. They were happy over the news and gave him their full support. Her Mother pulled him aside and gave him a family heirloom, Her Mothers engagement ring that her father proposed to her mother so long ago. It was redone, fitted and ready to go. That ring was everything knowing her Grandmama had wore it once upon a time. It was the night of their 5th anniversary February 20th 2015. They had a quiet house, candle lit dinner and He was cooking an extravagant dinner. When they were finished He told her to close her eyes so he could go into the other room to get her gift. Having no idea she covered her eyes. "Open them." he said shakily. He was in front of her on one knee his voice cracking as he explained his love and memories together. "Of course!!" She exclaimed as she jumped into his arms.
